Pricemancer picks the fastest technique each site allows and escalates automatically when it has to: plain HTTP first, then a request profile that mimics a real browser more closely, then a full Chromium browser, and finally a hardened browser build for the most defensive sites. Faster techniques are tried first because they cost less and finish sooner, not because they always work.
The collector also adapts its speed per site. It increases parallel requests while throughput keeps improving and backs off when the site starts pushing back, so runs stay as fast as the site tolerates rather than a fixed guess.
Refresh as often as you need fresh prices — daily is typical. Pages that fail repeatedly, such as removed products and dead links, are flagged and skipped on later runs so they do not waste time or tokens.
