How product matching works

Market listings are linked to your catalog by EAN and manufacturer code first, then brand, model and name similarity — with a review queue for anything uncertain.

Match all links market listings to your catalog automatically. Matching runs in order of reliability, and every row records which method produced the link, so you always know why two products were paired.

  1. EAN / barcode — an exact identifier match, the most reliable signal available.
  2. Manufacturer code — the maker's own part number, when both sides publish it.
  3. Brand and model — a structured match when identifiers are missing.
  4. Name similarity — fuzzy scoring, used last and held to the highest confidence bar.

Anything the automatic pass was not sure about lands in a review queue instead of being linked silently. The Match button on a row lets you pick the right product from your catalog by hand.

Wrong suggestions can be rejected, and rejections are remembered — the same pair is never suggested again. This is why matching quality improves over the first few weeks of use rather than staying fixed.

Shops rename products freely, so a listing title often has little in common with yours. That is exactly why identifier-based matching runs first: it recognises the same article regardless of how the shop chose to describe it.
